AMALGAM FILLINGS (METALLIC FILLING)
Amalgam fillings, also known as metallic (silver) fillings, are durable fillings obtained by mixing silver, tin and copper alloy with mercury. Apart from filling, they can also be applied to change the shape of the tooth, replace the lost tooth or to close the tooth gaps.

HOW IS AMALGAM FILLING MADE?

In order to make amalgam filling, the decay in the tooth is cleaned and the cavity (cavity) is opened. It is then shaped by filling amalgam to fit into the cavity. Finally, the filling is hardened by checking and fixing.

In order to make porcelain fillings (Inley, Onley fillings), the tooth is first cleaned and the decayed parts are removed. Then the measurement is taken and sent to the laboratory. The tooth is filled with temporary filling material. If it is decided that it is compatible with the tooth after the rehearsal with prepared porcelain fillings, the filling is placed. The treatment is finished with polish and polishing.
